About
Moonah Gardens is Jasmine’s garden design and maintenance business on the Mornington Peninsula.
Moonah Gardens started with something simple: a deep connection to nature, and the wish to do something with it. Jasmine is early in her professional gardening life, and she gives every garden her full attention.
Why Moonah
The moonah (Melaleuca lanceolata) is a coastal tree native to the Peninsula. It grows twisted and leaning, shaped by wind and sandy soil, and it belongs here. That’s the kind of garden Jasmine likes to make: one that suits its place.
How Jasmine gardens
Good gardens start below ground. Jasmine looks after the soil first, because everything else grows from it.
She chooses plants that suit local conditions, so the garden settles in and gets better with age instead of needing constant rescue. And she plants for wildlife, with flowers and shelter that bring in birds, bees and the beneficial insects that help keep pests in check.
The result is a garden that’s a little wild, and beautifully kept. Not clipped into submission. Not left to run riot.
Who she works with
Mostly home gardeners across the Peninsula. Jasmine also works with small businesses that want a garden worth sitting in, like cafés and restaurants with cottage gardens.
What she does
- Garden design
- Seasonal maintenance
- Pruning and small tree work
- Soil health and biodiversity
- Lawn care, as part of a wider garden service
How it starts
Every job begins with a visit. Jasmine walks the garden with you, talks through what you’d like from it, and follows up with a clear, no-obligation quote. Visits are by appointment, anywhere on the Mornington Peninsula.
